UOI: Students recapitulated the various lines of enquiry done during the unit “Pollution”. English: Students were introduced to fixed phonogram ‘ay’ and blends ‘ch’, ‘tr’ and ‘st’ using various visual presentations. They brainstormed the use of various words with these phonogram and blends and wrote the words in their process journals. They were also involved in for guided reading of phonic /blends books. Students also attempted a task called “Fix the sentence”. Each student was given a sentence to rewrite using correct spelling of the words, spaces, capitalization and punctuation. Math: Students recalled their knowledge of ‘o’clock’ with an enjoyable activity where they picked chits from a bowl and read the time written on it. Later they drew that time in the clock drawn on the white board. Provocation for ‘half past’ was done through a video after which the students were involved in a game using flash cards where they had to recognize time according to digital and analogue clocks. Students pasted 3 analogue clocks in their process journals and picked up flash cards with half past time and showed it on the clocks. To further strengthen the concept, the students played an online game of ‘half past’ time. Hindi: Students were introduced to vyanjan ‘ya’ through a video. They understood its formation by writing on the slate and sandpaper tracing. Later they also practiced writing it in their process journals. They further strengthened their understanding of rhyming words (Milte-julte shabd) which they also wrote in their journals. Students enjoyed listening to the story “Saanthava Suraj” and drew illustrations about their understanding of the same. ICT: Students created an illustration on ‘Pollution’ using various tools on Tux Paint on the laptop. PE: Students practiced playing football through a match. They also discussed about the basic rules of football e.g. number of players and equipment required. Music: The students were shown how to create various sounds of nature e.g. they used the wind chimes to create the sound of rain and Congo to create the sound of thunder etc. They presented the songs of their own choices from Disney productions which was followed by discussion about the MUSICALS and BROADWAY productions. They learned the lyrics of a new song - Lavender Blue. Dance: Students tried a combination of basic hands and feet positions with different type of music. Techniques of Dancing Statues helped them to work on their skills of coordination.
