UOI: In a ‘Think Puzzle Explore strategy’, students were given cut out of a picture on water pollution which they had to rearrange logically and present their understanding to their class. They also did an experiment on water pollution where they tried to segregate mixed household trash, vegetable oil, tongs etc. from a bucket of water. Their facilitator explained to them that it was an impossible task to achieve. English Integration: students where shown a video on “Oil Spill” and in Hindi, they watched the story "PradooshanMaan' followed by a discussion. They were introduced to vocabulary words like paani, hawa, dharti, shor, dhuaan, gandagi and dushit. Art Integration: The students were shown a video through which they learnt about waste being reused to make beautiful artworks. English: Introduction of ‘ee’ words were done through a Power Point presentation. Later students wrote/illustrated their understanding of the same in their process journals. Students indulged in a ‘Take and Talk’ on “Recycle” with handmade items which they made from the recycled things. Formative assessment on rhyming words was taken where a dice with pictures were rolled and rhyming words for the same were written in the process journals. They also illustrated the sentences given to them on a sheet of paper. Some students also challenged themselves by picking up a word from the mixed pool and framed sentences using rhyming words. Math: Students continued learning about 2D and 3D shapes. They attempted a Formative Assessment on the 3D shapes they have learnt. Hindi: Students practised writing two letter words in their process journals. Formative assessment on two letter words was done through bingo and it was met with a lot of enthusiasm. Music: The students have begun learning and singing the green grass song. A group activity of creating patterns through claps for songs they heard in the class seemed interesting. They practiced the solfeges along with hand actions. A class activity with students where they had to identify the name of instruments by just hearing music pieces played on them on the laptop was a great auditory exercise. PE:
Students practiced balancing the lawn tennis ball on their racquet and then moved forward with a steady pace. They also practiced bouncing the lawn tennis ball for control.
