The school was buzzing with lot of positive energy and enthusiasm as children joined us back after the summer break. We welcome children on this journey of learning and growing together. Students were welcomed and introduced to the facilitators. They were allotted cubby holes for keeping their bags and bottles. Later they enjoyed the game where children rolled the dice and answered the corresponding question. Students reflected on how they spent their summer vacations by way of drawing. Essential agreements were established in the class through a spider web game and students were also familiarized with the names of different objects in the class example: smart board, stationery, and projector. Leaner profile attributes- Caring was emphasized and children’s attention was drawn towards learner profile board. Recapitulation of phonic sounds was done through mystery bag game. Learner profile attributes were discussed through power point presentation. Students were shown a calendar and asked about the importance of numbers. As a part of numeracy, number hunt game was played in which they were asked to find out numbers in the school and later they reflected on it by a way of drawing. Students also did quantity association with the number symbol by counting number of tables, chairs, cubby holes in the class. Students introduced themselves in Hindi and spoke about themselves and their family. Students were taken for a nature walk and they tried to name things in Hindi which they had observed during the nature walk. The Story of “Sunhera Hans” was shown to the children which was followed by a discussion about the characters. Students did pattern writing in the notebooks. Students enjoying in Art class. Twinkling toes in the dance class. Gross motor skills development. Exploring learning centres in the class.
